- Batter steps out of the box when he hits the ball.
The second situation was interesting in that the ump let the play continue until the batter got to 2nd and a run had scored. He then called him out for stepping out. Neither situation hurt us as we won 14-2 but I would like to do it correctly.
Thanks for any help!

Well, most of the umpires here don't like scoring questions, because it's out of our scope of really caring much about the subject. But, I will give it a try.
1. Credit batter with a single and score the putout to F4.
2. If the batter had one or both feet
completely outside the lines of the box when he made contact with a fair batted ball, the umpire should immediately call Time and not wait until the play is over. The batter-runner is out for interference and the putout goes to F2. All runners return to the bases where they were at the Time of The Pitch.
I think that's right.
