Balk and CI

OBR

R2, R3. Pitcher balks and delivers the pitch. Batter swings and hits F2's mitt and Catcher's Interference is called. Ball is grounded to F1 who throws BR out at first. R2 and R3 hold.

Do we enforce both the balk and CI in this instance? R2 to third, R3 score on the balk and BR to first on CI, or do they have to choose one or the other?

There is no choice to be made. The BR and all other runners did not advance as a result of the play, therefore, enforce the balk. R3 scores, R2 to third, BR back to the plate with the count it was before the balk.

Correct. Once you enforce the balk, there was no pitch. With no pitch, the CI couldn't have happened.
