I concur. Bought a pair after my cousin told me about his. (He got his free, the son-of-a-b!tch) Only suggestion I would make is to buy a width larger than normal. They seem to run a bit narrow. Not a big deal. I had to buy my NB's a half size larger than normal, so I'm accustomed to plate shoes varying somewhat.

I bought a pair and love them so far. I had scouting between the NB shoes and asking around about the Reebok's and went with the Reeboks after seeing and hearing from guys that have the NB 450's that have had lace problems and this and that problem.

I just ordered a pair of New Balance today. I've never worn them, but I really like New Balance shoes in general so I figured the plate shoes would be to my liking as well. I've never had a pair of Reebok shoes that I found comfortable.

If Reebok is giving shoes away for free, then I missed the announcement. May be Reebok went back to the designing drawing board and revamped their quality of the products they make and sell.

find the old thread on here on Reebok plate shoes...maybe it was on Drake's site...but there sure weren't many fans...that's all I'm saying...maybe they're better now

The negative comments then were based on the appearance. The positive comments now are based on their confort and functionality.

When the NB's first came out, the comments regarding the "fugly" appearance of the rivited metatarsl plate were also highly negative. The comments became positive once people starting wearing them.

The phobia of white trim on plate shoes is gradually falling by the wayside just as it has on base shoes.

The Reboks are even more comfortable that NB's and far easier to lace.

I will be keeping my NB's as back-up. Some on here think they are difficult to lace and I've read that they are difficult to put on when you have a high arch. Once on, however, they are light and comfortable.

My new Reeboks, however, are even more comfortable and feel lighter. Right now, I consider them quite simply the best plate shoe I have ever worn and my past collection includes spot-bilt (two pair) (way back in the day), Davis (two pair), PlusPos, Honigs(two pair), NB's and now Reebok.

I just received my NB plate shoes today. I can see what you mean about them being difficult to lace; they are a bit difficult to get on, but they felt very comfortable. I'll find out for sure when I work my first game.

I would recommend putting some gel insoles in them. I found that they didn't have a lot of cushion and arch support.

I had my first plate with them Monday. They felt like base shoes. Very nice.

I noticed this when I first purchased them in early 2008. I had to order not a half size but a full one size larger just to get them on. I was using and breaking shoe horns to get my size 11.5 feet into these size 12.5 shoes. Frustrating to say the least.

And lacing them? Just hope you don't have to do this right before a game or you could be spending a half hour struggling to get the laces in these dang things.
