Thanks for the responses.

I wear a similar black wristband because my good friend and fellow soldier didn't get to keep his promise to his daughters, and I did. The promise of returning alive from a Combat Zone...... So I wear it so that I can keep my promise of "Never Forgetting".

I was just interested when I say a MLB umpire wearing a similar one.

Here is the info on the HeroBracelet that I wear and the info on my friend.

As I posted on another forum (and I don't claim it to be original) -- they work primarily by lessening the amount of weight you carry in your wallet.

I carry the memories of my friends who have gone before me in my heart and not my sleeve. I do not need others to feel my pain, I do it fine all by myself.

Sorry, I'm from a different era!

Yes, they work great. And there's this Nigerian website where all you have to do is send them your Social Security number, and they'll send you $100,000. Works equally well!

And as black as your heart is, Mario, the wrist bands around it blend right in!

Tim.

Some folks here go to the extreme of know when certain umpires are going on vacation. In many states, that would be stalking. In all states, that would be just, odd. It's these folks that we're making light of. The MLB umpire groupies.

Indeed, Kyle, which is why I asked the question above. Nothing wrong with having a little fun.

BTW, Walt, love the Superman underwear! Is it Kryptonite proof?

Haha, the joke's on you, Steve ! I didn't have to give them my SSN, just my
bank account number, in order that they may direct deposit my share of the funds they need to move out of the country.

I am watching the Sox-Angels game on TBS and I am wondering what Home Plate Umpire is wearing on his backside belt. It is white in color and may be a medical device. What is it?
