Astros-Braves

Anyone see the foul ball off the Astros' catcher's CP that ended up being caught, that was incorrectly called a foul tip?

Rule 2

Quote:
A FOUL TIP is a batted ball that goes sharp and direct from the bat to the catcher’s hands and is legally caught. It is not a foul tip unless caught and any foul tip that is caught is a strike, and the ball is in play. It is not a catch if it is a rebound, unless the ball has first touched the catcher’s glove or hand.

Yeah I saw it. Looked to me like it hit the mask first. Should have been foul.

I was the play, and they must have ruled the ball touched some part of his mitt first. I think I would rather rule fair/foul near a foul pole than whether a tipped ball hit the catcher's mitt or not.

Naw, in fact earlier today I was contemplating the meaning of the universe while wondering if there really is a dog.
