Squeeze Play Problems
During a discussion of squeeze and suicide squeeze plays, a question came up that I have never run into. I would expect this in softball but not in baseball but here goes:
OBR, 1 out, R3 with a huge lead, RHB in the box. (Let's go with FED also) F2 calls for the pitch out as R3 takes off. F1 delivers and B1 throws his bat at the pitch! Bat contacts the ball, R3 dives and tags the plate. What do we have?
