JR, probably something like SunOS.

mbyron, I assume you're a Mac user? Don't feel guilty about it, there's nothing wrong with that. I am impressed with their user interface and the fact the OS is now Unix based is nice but they just aren't my cup of tea.

You can either copy it and paste it into a post or you can type in the number combination and it will appear in your text box.

For example: The key sequence for a with grave is ALT+0224. The numbers are keyed in with your number pad, which is the block of numbers to the right of your keyboard. For à, you would hold down ALT and press 0224 on the number pad and then release ALT.

I have used Steve's copy-and-paste method before, but I'm usually too lazy to do it. So I've been meaning to learn shortcuts.

As it happens, the Windows character map is nothing more than the standard ASCII character map in 4 digits. I have a cheat-cheat of ASCII characters that I already use for CADD work, so I'll have to try ít ôút. It workß ok, but there must be something simpler.

I've occasionally inserted accented characters through some accidental combination of ctrl alt characters, but I haven't experimented with finding out what they are. That might have been a Word function, though. . .

If they didn't have them, it would make me wonder why they needed to make two different sets (one for walk-up ATMs and one for drive-up ATMs), especially when they don't know where the keypad is going when it's manufactured.

Sorry, we don't recognize metric spelling.
