NEVER approach your P about a judgement call until he asks.

The only time I can think that you would approach your P with out him asking is if you have a double (conflicting) call. In which case you better hope you had jurisdiction.

If it's a judgement call, you better not be overuling him privately either. It's never your place to overrule a judgement call. If he asks give him what you saw and it's still his decision.
