We ended up with about 8 inches of snow here in western Wis where I live.
Only 30 miles to the north they only had a little over 2. I've have one scrimmage and 3 games so far. Had five canceled or rescheduled and had a game for tomorrow and a DH for Saturday that I'm sure will not be played. Don't know if the snow will be gone and the fields dry next week. I've got five games on for next week. Hopefully be Thursday thing will be ready to go. We had better weather the first half of January. At least we don't have earthquakes or hurricanes up here. I'm really sick of winter. |

It is amazing though, that even with all the weather that parts of the country are getting now in April, that they are pushing next college season back a month. We'll see if it helps, but the weather is so unpredictable.

One thing I truly believe IS predictable is that springs in the upper Midwest simply suck. Oh, there is the occasional warm day or week, but for the most part, the springs here suck. It's not like it was when I was a kid, when the snows stopped in mid-March at the latest, and April was mild and comfortable.

My take on GW
Quote:
Possible causes: 1) population, 2) deforrestation, 3) topography, 4) solar and planetary cycles, 5) combustion emitting greenhouse gases and black soot and many more. CA is the place to be to see these processes in action. Which of these is most responsible for increases in ozone and CO(2)? Greenhouse gases and black soot from carbon combustion in CA. YGTBSM! The least likely source of increasing temperatures occurs in the AIR we breath. It getting hotter in CA, isn't it? The most likely source of warming occurs on the ground we trample. Oh no, nobody in CA is going to take on issues 1-4 above anytime soon, are they? Start working on problems associated with 1) overcrowding, 2) overuse, 3) uncontrolled growth, 4) daily demands such as RUSH hour, etc. Cool the ground and we cool the air over CA. Just my take on GW before the lockdown. Happy to participate. Last edited by SAump; Thu Apr 12, 2007 at 11:17pm. |

Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter are also warming. Along with Earth, what is the common denominator? The sun. And she's been quite antagonistic the last decade or so and doesn't show any signs of letting up. |
