Thank goodness I am a government worker (yes, key word is "worker"), and the government is closed tomorrow -- 37 miles one way to work.

Tomorrow, I will get up and take my 4 wheel drive to work. Too bad I used the 4 wheel drive in the rain on Saterday. This lack of snow in Texas is driving me nuts. I wish I was in Boston Tonight.:-(

Here's another one.

A guy was drinking coffee at an outdoor cafe when he noticed two state highway workers along the side of the road. They each had a shovel. One would dig a hole, then they would wait about two minutes, then the other one would fill up the hole. They would move down the road about 10 feet and do the same thing again.

His curiosity got the better of him and he went down to ask them what they were doing. He said to them, "Guys, one of you digs a hole, then you wait about two minutes, then the other one fills it up. Then, you move down the road and do it all over again. What gives?"

"Oh", said one of the workers, "the guy who actually plants the trees is home sick today".

I was in Monterey last week and they were actually mowing the grass! Could not believe it. Went down to Salinas to watch a couple of games and my buddy and I rode down there in a Mustang convertible with the top down (70 degrees). Came home Friday and snowed like a banshee Sunday & Monday. My wife said it was my fault because of the convertible.

You mean it will eventually stop? That's great news.

Last year in Portland, 35 people fell off their bicycles - and drowned!

The only way we know it's summer is that the rain is warmer.

Come visit during our annual Rain Festival - January through December each year.
