you guys love MLB umps and yet you cant even figure out the criteria for working a world series?

first round guys ONLY can work the world series, not guys that arent even on staff; Bob Davidson. Or guys that work the LCS; Hunter.

or even Eddings since he isnt working the first round at all....

that is all, now please go back to your made up guesses about who is going to work what and when

Hey, it was a joke, I say a joke, son. Sorry, but I thought it was really obvious, but I guess I need to add a bunch of so folks like you can see the humor. Please see the doctor to have that stick removed.

No, he has received a lot of postseason assignments in the last few years.

Then it's a sad thing when a good umpire gets shut out because of "too many assignments".

While we are talking MLB umpires, who will the new crew chiefs be next year? Brinkman has to be filled, I assume Montague is done, but there is no official word, Froemming? Marsh? In order these would be my top 4. Rapuano,Cousins,Joyce,Meriweather.

You're treading dangerous waters here, expect the jocksniffer comments.

BUT- to fairly answer your question, I definitely think Mike Winters is getting Froemming's spot. I would say the next 4 in line would be Joyce, Rapuano, Layne, Hohn. Also, someone will need to be promoted to 2 to replace Terry Craft, though I think Davidson might be thrown in there.

Jeff's one of the best in the game, and considered one of the game's top rules guys, too. I am a bit surprised that he didn't get a thing.

Just odd he wouldn't be in there, no?

I thought that the MLB playoff assignments were done on a rotation basis and not on merit, I could be wrong. If it was done on merit we would see the same "really good" umpire working the WS every year.
