Gerry Davis doesn't drop his butt at all.
Maybe the catcher is very tall.

mic:

Few of us do the "drop" thing anymore . . . we have found that by working with an even wider stance there is no reason to "drop."

Regards,

Yeah, Tim.
I got to work behind a 6'4" catcher, once, and my stance was considerably narrower.
Your ilk gitta work with the big boys with such frequency, the butt drop probably isn't even in your repetoire anymore.

I figgered if GD dropped he couldn't see over the catcher. GD didn't look very tall.

6'3". I'll be darned !
How ever tall he is, I was really impressed how "rock solid" stable he was.
I don't remember many/any zone questions during the game, either.

Regards,
For me, dropping my seat a few inches provides me more comfort and less stress on my back and legs.

GD is about 5'11" or 6', and he has the most solid foundation I have seen. No movement whatsoever. That's why we use the GD system.

Hmmm,

Gerry Davis is about 6'3" in my memory.

I never stood next to him at the clinic but I had an "impression" that he was the tallest of the instructors.

I had the privilege of meeting him at a clinic and took a couple photos with him. I'm 5'11" and he's a little taller than me so I'm guessing that 6'2-3" is about right.

Tee, I've stood next to the man, he is just a bit taller than I am, and I'm 5'10" or so. I will inquire as to his actual height and lay this debate to rest..lol. The system remains the best.

BTW, are you sticking with it next season?
