His birthday is officially over, so we'll move on...
Rather than start another thread, I can add this tid bit and still maintain the focus of the thread: The Rocket, Roger Clemens does his thing in front of 9,000 at Class A Lexington. The story of the kid with the long ball and Clemens' six strikeouts overshadowed the fact that his son was playing third base! How intense must that be - Dad is on the mound and you get to handle the hot corner. But how do I turn this back to topic? Anyone catch the umpires? I watched a couple Biggie-size blues handle the game pretty well. Even Clemens had nice things to say about the umpires after the game. Sure the strike out call looked awful, but those guys handled a HOF who knows a thing or two about the strike zone. Are they still picketing in Lexington?
