A beat writer for a small time MiLB club is now 'The Press'? Man, that's reaching...

I remember when my university started a radio station and one of my dormies came back to tell me he was now a real broadcaster. The station could be picked up anywhere within 150 yards of the student union.

Did you happen to hear Dan Patrick talk about it the other day? A guest on his radio show commented that Dads were calling AAA games now and Dan corrected him by saying that he had attended a local game, amazed at how good those Dads were.

Thanks for the chuckle, my day was rotten before that laugher.

SDS - I'm not sure if you addressed that to me or not.

SoCal1 keeps posting becaise I wrote that we aren't seeing stories about the caliber of umpiring out there. He now has a quest for legitimate stories to bolster his contentions. Like Don Quixote, he is confusing fact from fiction while on his journey. The Trentonian??? It must have been a slow news day when you start quoting team management about umpiring. Of course, with no byline, one can never know if there are alterior motives.

No, WWTB, we posted at the same time. My "so what" was in response to yet another article (ho-hum) about how bad those mean old scab umpires are.
