First Game...Snowed Out
Well, we started Spring yesterday, followed by anywhere from 2-7 inches of snow today (Tuesday). Games were called off and are probably going to be called off for the next few days.
Anyone else ever had a game called off due to snow in the Spring? |

Not yet, but I'm not very optimistic about getting games in this weekend. We have 16 games scheduled for a pre-season tournament this weekend with snow and temps below 30º expected all weekend. I'll say this much, if it doesn't snow and the games aren't cancelled, I'll be one frozen SOB by Sunday night.

yup
last year I had my first "snow delay"..........we had a snow squall come through and the flakes were so large and coming down so fast that we (umpire, catcher and batter) could not see the ball............about 20 minutes and it passed.........game on!...........

Well let's see, so far here in Northwestern Iowa I have lost Thursday and Friday of last week, and and Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week due to snow. Saturday isn't looking to promising either.

A surprise, got yesterday in...38 degrees at game time cloudy with a wind blowing in at 15 mph. Game time, 2:50 miuntes got it in minutes before it was too dark to play. Love these early (for here) spring games!

Why do you enjoy your games being cancelled? You have had all winter off. Isn't that enough time for you? |
