Had three high school games cancelled today because of 3 inches of snow. I know this kind of thing happens to the Yankees up northern way but this is a first for me. It has put next Tuesday's games in jeopardy also.

This creates a scheduler's nightmare and it's only the first week of the season. Should be a fun season!!

Gary,

I lost three of five games, but it was not snow.
Rain, and lots of it...It is 29 and windy right
now, but at least the rain has gone and is not
scheduled to return for awhile.

I am scheduled Mon. and Tues. and then off to the
Brenham Leadoff Classic.

Talking

My older daughter flew down to Dallas today to visit some college friends (she lives in MN). Was she BUMMED about the snow! She thought she was escaping that for a few days!

Tom,

I guess we can thank your daughter for the snow. Followed her right to Dallas. The snow is melting but the ground was already soaked before it started. We could lose the whole week's schedule of games.

Glen,

I'll take the snow instead of the driving rain you have been getting. At least the snow is pretty - and it didn't stick to the streets.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

ROFLMAO

I know that's an assignor's nightmare. But, it's kinda tough not to snicker a bit with my first scheduled game being more than a month away. 'Though I have been spending some time in the gym with a local college team.

I was scheduled to work the USSSA Winter Nationals in Garland this weekend, but, as you have probably guessed, it was snowed out as well.

Gary, I really don't think that this particular storm will impact next weeks HS games. Tomorrow it is supposed to be near 50, and by Tuesday the temperatures are forecast to be well into the 60's. Lots of sun, these hard North Texas winds, and in no time at all those fields will be playable.

Cool Yep

I lost 6 games a double-header last night and 4 today BUT since they were all scrimmages I guess it will be allright will just have a bunch of rough umpires next week if it does dry out enough to play

Have a good one

Our chapter had a scrimmage type tournament last week. It was basicaly the Varsity VS the JV, but the coaches got what they wanted, our new guys got some good input on mechanics and we got some kinks worked out from the layoff. Hopefully, it's not all forgotten by next week. I'm off until Friday, then the tournament in Brewer starts. Can't wait.
