As soon as the BU knows R2 is breaking, the BU has to start for the 45 foot mark between home and third if he ever wants to get a good angle on the play.

I don't want to distract the batter and I feel I am abandoning my partner on stuff like check swings and batted balls off feet that I might have to give help on. I can still get a couple steps towards the 45 and be in position when the ball arrives at 3B. I don't have to be close, just get the angle.
