Pantone Colors

MLB rule 3.07a states no fielder may use a glove that is lighter than Pantone Color in the 14 series. I've looked on the Pantone web and cannot find the colors or chart. Is there such a thing or some type explanation as to what the colors may be?

From what I understand, MLB has their own color chart. I assume colors a pitcher can't wear, whit, grey, yellowish? Or which is ball color.

Thanks. I simply googled "Pantone 14" and it shows a tan colored glove. Oh well, this will probably never come up. (I hope)

For pitchers, the rule prohibits white, grey, or anything that is, in the umpire's judgment, distracting. OBR 3.07(a).

For the other fielders, the only limitation is the Pantone 14 reference. Maybe Joe West has a MLB color chart in the umpire locker room, but we amateurs? Even if a coach raises the issue--I can't imagine an umpire doing so on his/her own--could you really distinguish between different shades, perhaps subtly different? "Coach, looks good to me. Let's play ball."
