Red Sox and Yankees game
I'm a softball umpire, so don't know many baseball rules.
Watching Red Sox/Yankees last night. I have a question on the last play of the game. Yankees had runners on second and first. Torres hit a grounder to F5 who threw low to F3. Call was out, and Yankees wanted a review. Review confirmed the out. Game over. My question is what if the runner from second continued all the way home and stepped on the plate. Then, the review showed that the runner at first base was safe. Would that run be allowed to score. Does F3 have to continue to play given that he may have heard the umpire call the runner at first out? Thanx.
