Force out Ending half inning
I think i have this right, just an odd set of circumstances. Two outs, R1 on third, R2 on first. batter hits ground ball to F4, but since this is youth league, the player tries to chase runner BACK to first,,,, R1 crosses plate... R2 in a rundown (coaches all yelling JUST TAG SECOND, lol). Anyway, F6 ends up catching the ball on second so force out.
a) if a TAG had happened, does the score count? b) in this case, force out at second means no score, just as if it was a clean F4 toss to F6 to end inning. |

A force play isn't the tag of the base, it's the need for the runner to advance.
On a force play you may tag the runner or the base - no difference. If it's the third out no run can score.
