Yes Batter/Runner was running right in the middle of the lane, literally right down the foul line. I know it was PU's call but it was FU that made the call and prevailed. Like I said I didn't have a dog in the fight. All for me to do was to accept ruling and admonish F2 for not stepping wide of Batter/Runner to execute throw. F2 had more time than he realized.

This is contradictory. The lane is bounded by the foul line and another line 3' into foul territory. Can't be in the middle of the lane and on the foul line.

If the runner's feet were both on the foul line he was OK.
