Correct or Kicked?

Since I was here anyhow, I decided to ask the forum about a situation from my last game, to make sure I got this one right.

A1 shoots. As the ball is in flight, A2 fouls B1. The ball goes through the basket. I counted the score, then we shot free throws on the other end as Team B was in the bonus.

No one questioned what was done and I didn't hesitate to call it this way, it's just that I don't see this frequently and want to reinforce what I did (provided I nailed it).
