Advice Urgently Needed

I know this is going to sound like an open invitation for abuse and general insult, but it's a serious question and I hope you'll save the clever and humorous banter for later, after the problem is solved.

I am suddenly called upon to don a costume and stand in the doorway of a store handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. Of course, the ref stuff comes immediately to mind, but I'm wondering if there would be any little additions that might make it a little more costume-y or funny? I don't have time to do anything that involves much time or money. I've got a bright pink whistle, anytning I could add to that? suggestions?

stripes, shorts, knee high fishnets, pink and yellow slip on shoes, fluorescent green whistle, and dark glasses. Most people didn't get it, but a few did. Mostly I was too busy to care. We gave candy and little slips of paper with trivia to 4000 kids in about 2-1/2 hours. I was exhausted when I got home!

why not the sunglasses that blind people wear -- and if you could get 2 other partners to don similar uniforms -- then so the 3 blind refs run...
