I think many of us are...
Personally, I'm NFHS, USAV & PAVO.

I have a PAVO membership, which I think was covered in my local board's dues. As a member of PAVO, I received an officials' handbook, and I get an occasional email. I honestly don't know what PAVO membership does for me.

What PAVO membership does for me...

Scrapper, one major benefit of your PAVO membership is that during the season you receive the in-season rules interpretations from Marcia Alterman, NCAA Rules Editor. If your state is like most, your local officials who referee high school volleyball but do not do either college or club have interpretations about various items that tend to go all over the place. At least when Marcia sends out a new interpretation news-letter, there is no reason for screwing up the interpretation if you have taken the time to read.

I am not a PAVO member. I only call HS ball.

Most of our HS leaders here are also NCAA and USAV officials and usually mention PAVO membership during the pre-season meetings.

I'm not sure, but I believe that if I do ever start USAV and NCAA VB officiating locally, that a PAVO membership is required.
