One week in. . .

Well, I just finished working my first week of high school volleyball. I did 3 JV/V double-headers. Honestly, it wasn't very fun. It just wasn't all that interesting. The easy stuff (legal hits, in or out) is pretty easy; and the hard stuff (rotations and overlaps) is impossible.

I'm not ready to quit, but I don't see myself doing this long-term unless there's some way to dramatically improve my ability to "officiate" the positioning. Otherwise, all I'm doing as the down official is administering subs and watching for net violations.
