You are overcomplicating this. There is no such thing as "a right to a base". There is no consideration of "the fielder was making a play."
The ONLY thing that matters is the answer to this question... "Was the fielder in the runner's path without the ball, and did that cause the runner to deviate from their path (slowing or changing direction for example)". That's all you need to worry about in a play like this.
What you've told us does not answer this question. And what you HAVE told us is largely irrelevant to whether there was obstruction or not.
