d3k goes out of play

I could not find Forum history on this. With 2 out or 1st unoccupied where the pitch goes OB, is the batter awarded 1st ?

What other result could you consider possible?

Batter is now a batter-runner, has completed at-bat, has not been put out, and the ball status is now dead from a pitch?

ASA 8-5-c addresses the B/r on ball 4, and addresses 'runners' but not specifically the B/R. So 8-5-c-3 assumes runners & b/r as well. Thanks.

8.1.B & 8.5.C. The latter address ANY pitched ball that remain live. Subparagraph 2 address the disposition of a batter on a called ball four. The lack of a base on balls does not negate the remainder of the rule.
