NFHS Rule Change
Per 2013 Rulebook:
If you look at rule 7-3-2, it says that “A batter shall not permit a pitched ball to touch her.” I think the rule change for 8-1-2b would allow the batter to just stand still and get hit by a pitch entirely within the batter’s box. That would contradict 7-3-2, wouldn’t it? I know that purposely moving in order to get hit will not get the batter to first base, but isn’t the rule now like the NCAA rule where the batter can just stand there and ‘take it’?
