Another scenario you will see that is similar is listing the actual starting pitcher as the DP and the flex as the pitcher and then at the plate meeting the Dp is being brought in to pitch. Advantage for the coach in doing this is in the event of a pitching change the pitcher(DP on the line up card) that actually started the game in the circle can stay in and hit.
