Sorry about your experience in Seattle! They usually have a reputation for being very friendly! But it has been a cold dreary spring. maybe they weren't at their best.
Whidbey Island would have been the place to go for your best chance at seeing eagles. I'm surprised you ate vegetables off the street. Didn't they have plates?  Hope you washed them first! Rita
