Thumbs up Looking for a new facemask

Finally gonna do it. What's the lightest facemask on the market? My crummy mask won't even go over my plate hat without resting on the bill. Just tired of it. It's probably here somewhere in the past but.......just tell me please.

Go for it. I finally retired my ten ton 1973 Wilson. Wow ! I regret waiting so long.

The Champro beats the Diamond by a mere 1/2 ounce. The Wilson titanium weighs just a couple of ounces more, but costs over two times as much.

The pads on the Champro and Diamond are kind of on the wimpy side- just barely adequate.

I'm in the market for new mask too and have been looking at all of these (plus reading many reviews from other umpires). Here's what I'm probably going to wind up getting...

Ump-attire sells the Diamond frame alone, without the pads. I'm thinking that I'll go with that frame, then buy a set of beefier pads, either the Wilson leather pads or the new Team Wendy's. With the heavier pads, the total mask will weigh a little more, but with such a light frame the difference will be negligible, while the comfort and protection should be superior.

I've been wearing the Diamond Featherweight for three years now, and I really like it. That old Wilson mask I had for thirteen years was so heavy compared to the Diamond.

I just purchased new gear and went with an All-Star FM4000. There is an all black model which is the FM2000 and is supposed to be about the same weight.
