This is true, though I'm only aware of it happening once and the women just beat the crap out of the guy proposing it in committee. Of course, it it seemed to be (and I'm going to get beat up on this one) an ego thing, yet in ISF and all other co-rec with which I am familiar, everyone hits the 12" ball ....and not poorly.

I wonder if the safety and equipment committee would consider doing tests on just how much advantage is really gained by letting women hit an 11" ball.

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

Not unless there is a safety issue.

Is it the "Equipment Safety Committee" or the "Safety and Equipment Committee?" I always get the name mixed up.

Pretty sure it is Equipment Testing and Certification Committee, but they are not going to do anything that doesn't involve safety or licensing.

I'll make a note of it. I'm bound to screw up a long name like that.

So is there anyone within ASA who would do such testing? Or would it have to be outside?

This is purely for my own curiosity.

Not anymore, since about 3/4 years ago when we switched to an 11" for females too.

For womens and girls SP, but not for Co-ed. ESF may have, but ISF is still one ball for all. (ISF Appendix 4.5)
