Yes!! Approved by NCAA SUP, even pushed by some. So, why not?

looks 'slow',not sure about the GPA (as does the Jerry Davis 'looks' high in the setup and hard to set up for different heights at the top of the zone)

just not something I would teach to young blues. [I] hate being old skool so much!

Don't disagree. I don't personally find the scissors the equivalent stance to some others. BUT, some of the absolute top guns in NCAA use it, and very successfully. Not one to drop names, although I very well could.

Just this one; two years ago, Willie Newman was ASKED by Emily to use the scissors in a highly televised NCAA game. Reasoning; it is approved, and she wanted it to be seen by the masses from a highly regarded umpire, and seen done CORRECTLY. (Not conjecture; verified to me personally by both Willie AND Emily, after I refused to accept third party).
