Courtesy runner
Fed rules.
One more Q. Player courtesy runs for PITCHER throughout the game. She does not enter game other than courtesy runner. Can she courtesy run for the CATCHER at a later time in game? I believe ASA doesn't allow it, but want to check on the Fed. Thanks! |

No. A CR may run for the F1 or F2, but not both positions in the same game. NFHS 8-9-1.

Since the players can switch positions, can the same CR stay with the catcher position even when the catcher is now a different person in the lineup
i.e. legal CR runs for F2 batting in #4 spot on lineup. Later in game F3(batting #8) and F2 switch spots in the field, can the same CR run for the new F2 who is batting #8?? or do you have to use a new legal CR? |

... is all you need to know to answer, but for some who need explanation, that means "same CR run for the new F2".
BTW, in USSSA one player can be CR for both positions, at least up to last year.
