Relocating to Charlotte, NC - Need some POCs for umping in that area

I've been an ASA SP ump since 2001 in the DC area, also do baseball. Since I'm about to move to NC, thought I ping this forum for POCs to get into an association down in the Charlotte area.

Welcome to NC, brother! Bob Caldwell is the best person to contact in the Charlotte area. My understanding from Phil K (our state UIC) is that Bob handles the booking there.

Hopefully, I'll see you around! I'm more in the RTP area, but maybe our paths will cross at a state or National tourney.

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

I don't know - is there that big a difference between arguing with an attorney and arguing with an umpire??

Yeah, as an umpire on the field, I never lose

Yep... Arguing with an umpire is cheaper.

Agreed, however... did you ever win an argument you've had with an umpire?
I haven't, not when I was playing, not when I was coaching and since I've joined the corps in blue I still didn't win one from a fellow-umpire

There's a reason I wear this uniform.

But it usually doesn't work that well when dealing with a wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend/significan other.

True, and you know you've been calling too many games when you try to eject your wife from the living room for showing you up.
