stupid commentators LL WS

LL World Series IFF. I wish ESPN would have an umpire as a technical advisor so the commentators would not sound so stupid.

BTW the umpre crew is doing a great job.

How come ASA can not get ESPN to broadcast 18Gold?

Dont you know it is the umpires responsibility to make sure every player on the field hears him and understands what they need to do in that situation??? LOL

My thoughts on the game being on TV also. I watched the big league game the other day and the senior game today. A good 14 travel ball team would clean house on any of the teams I have seen. ESPN will show this, but they arent interested in showing some of the best teams in the country? Where do they think all of their USA team players came from?

That infield fly fiasco was pretty bad. I half expect Tim McCarver to run on the field and protest.

That was bad. And the ump was dead on and actually doing a good job (except his timing a little quick forme) compared to umps I've seen In past LL WS (I realize he isnt ASA mech but it wasnt ASA).

By fiasco you mean the catcher not tagging the running and the commentators blaming the Umpires. Right? Also the coach did come out. I think he ask the PU to get help on a tag, and the PU said no. Then he said, "well the cameras will tell the truth". Guess what coach the cameras did tell the truth and she was safe.

I mean fiasco because on the very first replay you could see PU calling. It took them 20 replays to catch on.

It was a fiasco because the commentators are completely clueless about the whole issue.

I could careless about the play of the players.

Because it is a package deal. If you want the LLWS, you must also do the softball. 18U were supposed to be on ESPN last year or the year before, but I believe there was a scheduling issue which could not be resolved.

However, I'll say this again as I have on numerous other sites. If you want something televised, you only need one thing, MONEY!

I don't care how popular or lame an event may be, the ONLY thing that gets it air time is money.

Like Mike said, the event ESPN wants is the boys LLWS. LL requires they televise girls softball as part of the deal.

The big league game was played on a little league baseball field that the mound had been shaved off of. The senior league game was on a softball field, but I bet the plate to the backstop couldnt have been 10'. The high camera view they had was like looking straight down over the plate.

I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views!

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.
