That's just poor plate management, a good umpire would have had the inning over in 6

You FP folks need to take a lesson from some of us SP folks, we can get an inning done in 3 pitches.

I meant in a half-inning...but then again, I do recall several 6 pitch innings in a slow-pitch game. Even easier when it's Texas-style.

OK, ASA rules: absolute minimum number of pitches to complete an inning is ____.

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

OK, absolute minimum where actual ball playing occurs!

Assuming batters come to the plate -- 2. That's for a half inning. I suppose it could be done twice and get six outs on 4 pitches.

My favorite half inning was 3-pitches in a HS JV game, where the pitcher hit the first batter (pitch one). B2 lined into a DP (pitch 2), and B3 grounded out on pitch 3.

SP 1. FP without the tiebreaker, BOO, substitution etc, I'm thinking it can't be done in less than 3.

In Utrip men's class E, this is possible, especially if two of the batters were offensive ejections for hitting over the fence homeruns.

I'll go with 2 in a half inning in ASA FP. DP with a BOO.

B3...swings at 1st pitch and flies out.
