Italy vs USA

First batter of the game gets hit, the PU gets it right and than jumps out from behind the play and points to 1B and then starts walking to 1B still pointing.

Seems to me, if the player doesn't know where 1B is.........

PU needs a diet. He does not look good back there. He looks dumpy.

And he leans in the direction of his hammer.
Overall, looks bad.

Italy HC comes out to discuss balls & strikes?

And did I hear the umpire state that he was using the batter's box line as an indicator

And the 2nd & 3rd base umpire wearing black and white shoes is driving me crazy.

And before you ask, ISF rule book clearly states "black shoes and belt".

I was wondering about the shoes..

Weak crew.

I wonder if ISF is as hard to get in Europe as it is here.

Hes horrible, thats a horrible call to make, and the game blows too.

Nothing to see in that game unless you want a sample of what not to do.

PU just makes a call on a ball he couldn't possibly have seen.

BTW, the BU on 1B is from USA, Katrina Kershaw, who is not listed on ISF's Umpire Roster. USA/ASA Elite. Hmmmm....maybe the web sites just haven't been updated yet.

Palermo told him that a man wearing Yankee pinstripes in front of 30,000 people should not end a sentence with a preposition. So Pinella, no dummy, said, "OK, where was that pitch at, a**hole?"

zone looked ok at best, seemed to give up on balls that could have broken in or out of the zone, hard to tell on tv though

Yeah, I was surprised he even attempted to justify his zone to the coach. Seemed more like he was coaching the coach than calling his game.

And did anyone see that foul ball that he called on the batter when it hit her while still in the box? I sure didn't.

I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views!

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

Hit her in the tummy. He told everyone it did. Didn't you see?

If she isn't ISF, yes. DO NOT MISUNDERSTAND THIS TO MEAN that I do not believe Ms. Kershaw is not qualified. I have all the confidence in the world that she is or she would not be on the field. Just curious.
