Well, Mike and Alt Ump Steve put forth the two positions. Malcolm stated same thing as AltUmpSteve. I said I would go with USC but that is cause that is not spirit of fair play in my mind. My understanding is in the Pac 10 they went with Steve's thinking.

I don't think neither of us gave a definitive answer, but noted the different views that could be taken considering the lack specific rules to address the situation.

would apply to this play barring type of contact which could rise to the level of USC... which by description, this would not be at that level.

So I got nothing.

Its 18G time and big time play - "making it hurt" on the steal and stuff like that is common. We all see it, we all know it.. it seems almost unwritten thats gonna be what it is - they are going to bring it.
