Pitcher foot off pitching plate
What are the options for a coach when an umpires will not honor a protest on an Illegal pitch. In Federation pitchers can have one foot off the pitching rubber but is ASA both feet must be in contact prior to the push off the pitching plate. Pitcher slides foot and slips off giving them an extra rocking motion advantage.
Home plate said they could not see it so they passed on to the field ump. Field ump would not make the call because they do not seem to feel it is an advantage. By rule the book says it is not a legal pitch. |
