NCAA mechanic question
Game on Big ten network. Batter receives ball four. Starts to 1b and before gets there. PU calls time to clean plate.

OK or a boo boo?

At what point in the game did this happen? what inning? how many outs? just curious so when i watch the game again i can look for it and explain what happened....I was the 3rd base umpire of this game....Northwestern vs.UW
Not saying what happened was correct but maybe i can clarify.

I can not remember the inning. I believe the pitcher walked and there was a runner on third. But I could be wrong.
