runners changing places after conference

I can't remember which ruleset it is that I read that after a defensive conference when the runners are talking to a coach and then return back to their bases after the conference, but not in the same position they were in, that the coach is restricted to the dugout. Is this ASA or Federation? If it isn't in Federation, what is the penalty if they do this? Please site rule. Dave

I don't know about HS.

Rule 8 Section 7

Y. When base runners switch positions on the bases they occupied following
any conference.

EFFECT: Each runner on an improper base shall be declared out. In addition,
the head coach shall be ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct.

If a coach is restricted, that's Fed, not ASA. ASA does not provide for restricting a coach.

I meant to say the coach is ejected, not restricted to the bench. Dave
