I wonder what brand shoes the Belgian Frog wears? Or, Mr. Easton?

What a silly notion, that a TV ad was all that was required.

That will be "Van Bommel"... Most expensive dutch shoe-brand. It's equal to the Italian brands, talking quality. Not very fashion, very mutch for old people...

Votings by the IOC-members are always secret. Are you 100% sure that all USA IOC-members actually did vote in favor for softball? Here in the Neth.'s we have about 3 members. I'm not convinsed that they all vote in favor, neither am I 100%sure that all americans did. So what I want to say is: That Frog has a name!
I'm also not happy that softball is out in 2012. Let's work even harder to get it back in 2016!!!

I know, but I refuse to use his name, just as I also refuse to use the name of Major League Baseball's Pretend Commissioner. I know, that'll show them, right? But, I do it anyway.

I don't know who voted for it or against it, but I know Mr Easton abstained and his vote in favor would have kept softball in the Olympics. I still don't know why any softball player, team, or coach buys Easton equipment.

Are you sure? The information I read indicates that Easton did not abstain, but reclused himself prior to the vote because his company sells equipment used by olympic sports. The I.O.C. did not release the name of the individual that abstained.

Abstained, recused; tomato, tomahto. He didn't vote. His reason was either bogus or he should have never accepted the position to begin with. IF he had voted and voted FOR softball, it would be played in the London Olympics. Maybe a big contract with European interests was on the line. Maybe he was sucking up to the Frog. Whatever, he betrayed the USA and the sport of international softball in my view.

I agree. Regardless of why he did not vote, he should have. Apparently, the customary method of avoiding an ethical or any other possibility of conflict in a vote is for the chair to inform the member of the conflict. It was reported that no such notice was provided by the chair to Mr. Easton.

I wonder how big an effect the number of Olympic teams has on Easton Sports. Minuscule, I am guessing.
