Nike commercial

Anyone seen the Nike commercial. They did in 62 seconds what ASA should have done before the olympic vote killing softball. Perhaps the greatest video and political statement ever.

I liked it, and it was pretty good, though I don't know about greatest statement ever. (If you missed it, the tagline was something like, "We'll take softball. You [the world] can take everything else.")

I also love the Nike one set to the Killers song. A great choice of music.

Yeah the video really outshines the Gettysburg Address and JFK's "Ask not" speech.

Consider the source. He reminds me of the coach SteveM had to deal with a couple years ago. Doesn't know a damn thing and proves it every time he opens his mouth.

I wonder what brand shoes the Belgian Frog wears? Or, Mr. Easton?

What a silly notion, that a TV ad was all that was required.

That's the guy who said he wanted to talk to you - so I let him go right away. Right?

That will be "Van Bommel"... Most expensive dutch shoe-brand. It's equal to the Italian brands, talking quality. Not very fashion, very mutch for old people...

Votings by the IOC-members are always secret. Are you 100% sure that all USA IOC-members actually did vote in favor for softball? Here in the Neth.'s we have about 3 members. I'm not convinsed that they all vote in favor, neither am I 100%sure that all americans did. So what I want to say is: That Frog has a name!
I'm also not happy that softball is out in 2012. Let's work even harder to get it back in 2016!!!

I know, but I refuse to use his name, just as I also refuse to use the name of Major League Baseball's Pretend Commissioner. I know, that'll show them, right? But, I do it anyway.

I don't know who voted for it or against it, but I know Mr Easton abstained and his vote in favor would have kept softball in the Olympics. I still don't know why any softball player, team, or coach buys Easton equipment.
