Only thing I can think of is if there is a portion of the fence that is situated less than the minimum distance required by Rule 2.
Example...part of the fence in an 18 Gold Championship play game is 190'. Prescribed distance is min 200 and max 225 according to Rule 2. Ball goes over the 190' fence. Just a guess and can't see this ever come into play...obviously it has before or else it wouldn't be listed in the rules. |
