A local based national company formed a company co-ed league, played on their new field, and asked 1 of my assignors to send officials. ASA rules to be followed "loosely" i.e. if 1 team was short players, then take enough from opponents, ect....
2nd week, 1 coach wanted a pregame forfeit, claiming the other team was going to field 6 women/4 men , not 5+5 "like the rules say". He showed me the company rules sheet, paraphrased from local ASA league stating " 2 outfielders, 2 infielders and either the pitcher or catcher must be women."....lol |

LMan, I have to admit I started working the AA SP here because there were two city summer leagues starting up and I had missed the boat in getting on board with a FP and baseball association this last Spring due to my (relatively) new job. I figured staying involved with umpiring someway was better than none at all. Good thread folks, thanks for the comments and feedback.
