Ucla - Asu

News flash!!! Mowins says a pitcher can be removed from the circle and allowed to come back and pitch.

BTW, anybody watching think there was possible interference on the batter when ASU runner stole 3B in 1st inning?

In the first game of the night I learned that an on deck batter is totally safe from an interference call while she is in the on deck batters circle.... who knew???

Oh, yeah, I would love to hear a coach argue that one!

What's up with Mendoza and Kruk playing with the balls on camera?

Just saw the replay of the coach demonstrating his "stop" sign. Maybe if he was within 40' of the base he's supposed to be coaching, she would have seen it.

Idiots! If the umpire gives a safe signal, it is an indicator the runner touched the plate.

I would love to get these people in an all-day clinic.

UCLA went 1-2-3 in the first inning. So...my answer to your question would be...no.

I saw the possible interference also. It was at another time in the game. The thought occurred to me. The batter was out of the batters box and the catcher had to move away from her. I don't know why the catchers don't draw that call by just making the throw instead of going around them. I certainly would have understood why the plate umpire would have called it.
