Suing over metal bats

I don't know if anyone else caught this story, but...

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,356505,00.html

These are metal baseball bats, but I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing this in softball as well.

I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views!

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

I sympathize with them, but that lawsuit is crazy. Are Rawlings and the batter named in the suit as well? The coach? The umpire? Where would it end?

Question for the alleged expert the plaintiff will bring:

Can you state as a certainty that this injury would NOT have occured if the bat used was made of wood or any other material?

Questions for the parents:

What kind of bat does your son use? Of what material is it made? Who purchased your sons bat? Did you know metal bats were being used prior to giving your permission to allow your son to play under those condidtion?

These are two obvious case-killers, but with the the idiot lawyers, judges and juries which ignore fact and play on emotion, this will probably go bad for all those concerned.

The scum lawyer who brought this case to court should be introduced to Tony Soprano's one-time friend, Big Pussy.
