Week #3 of Slow Pitch
I hope people don't mind me sharing AA moments like Ed/Trinity used to.
A couple worth sharing from the other day: I forget what was being asked, but our F3 asked me what the rule was on something and I called back "I don't know ASA rules." Opposing manager calls out to me "We don't play ASA rules, we play (name of city) rules." Funny, all the materials our manager gave me have the ASA logo on them. Later in the game, the opposing manager wants to protest something (I'm stiill not sure what exactly, since she never did say) and ends up in a jawing match with our F2. Umpire eventually tells both to (basically) shut up and play. I'm surprised nobody got tossed. After the game, opposing team's pitch says "Learn the rules, blue" during the post-game handshake. We'll see what next week brings, besides teammates planning to wear mismatched socks.
