My philosophy is to nip it in the bud as early as possible. When a coach or player starts getting mouthy either with me or with an opposing team player or coach, I address the problem ASAP. USC will only get worse and worse if we play the "nice guys" (or "nice girls/gals/females?") and turn the other cheek too often. This is not to say that we need to be OOO. Not at all. Just recognize when a participant is approaching the line, and reminding them that there are repercussions for doing so.

Dave I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views! Screw green, it ain't easy being blue! I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again. |
